Scribblings 66 – Abandoned

Abandoned

It might have started with a leaking roof
Or a peeling wall that was ignored
And then months and years of neglect
Leading to the breakdown

It might even have been rented
For more care is given to what’s your own
So it was easier to abandon it
And just move to someplace new

There’s always a charm of the new
New walls, new floor, new furniture
The old has no place anymore in the new
So it just lies there abandoned
